John Calvert - Senior Warden  John joined the Episcopal church in 1990 following his marriage to Krissie. Originally from Independence, Missouri, John was raised in the Presbyterian church where he was active in the youth program and bell choir.  Since becoming confirmed in the Episcopal church, John has served as a LEM, usher, and lay reader.  John's passion is aviation.  He is an account manager for an aerospace company that serves Gulfstream.  He holds a Bachelors Degree in Aviation Technology, a private pilot’s license, an aircraft mechanics license with inspection authorization, and he currently owns his own airplane.  John and Krissie have two sons, Jack and Matt.

Kerry Freeman - Junior Warden  Kerry has been an active member of St. Luke's since it's first service in 2003.  He is responsible for maintaining the church building and grounds.  He was baptized at Martha Bowman Methodist Church in Macon, Georgia and confirmed at Trinity Episcopal Church in Statesboro, Georgia.  Kerry and his wife, Sally, have two daughters, Kate and Anna, and they have lived in Rincon since 1999.  Kerry graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1991 with a B.S. in Biology, and he recieved his Doctor of Optometry degree from University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1995.

Cathy Brock –  Youth Liaison  Cathy is a life-long Episcopalian.  She was baptized at Calvary Episcopal Church in Americus, GA and confirmed at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Harriman, TN.  She and her husband John have been married 32 years and have 3 children, Laura, Chris, and Sarah.  Cathy graduated from UT Knoxville with a BS in nursing and has worked as an RN in hospital and home health nursing.  She has been a Sunday school teacher, assisted with Bible school, and is active in the ECW, Sewing Guild, and Alter Guild.  She has also served as Usher, Lay Reader, and Intercessor.

Brett Gordon - Finance Liaison

Charlie Hudson - Membership/Marketing Liaison 
Charles was led to the Episcopal church through marriage, at St. Pauls in Berlin, Maryland .  Charles has been married to Darden Hudson over 10 years and resides in Effingham County.  He and Darden have attended St. Lukes from it's beginings in 2003.  Previous career efforts in radio and television broadcasting serve as an aid in fulfilling the role of marketing/membership liason for the St. Lukes vestry.  Believing in a growing church built on creative ideas and open hearts, Charles and the 2008 vestry look forward to a prospering year.       

Helen Hyde -   Outreach/Inreach Liaison  Helen is a life-long Episcopalian from Jacksonville, FL.  She and her husband Eddie have been married 18 years and have one daughter, Hannah.  Helen currently works as a para-professional at South Effingham High School.  She is also responsible for keeping the church directory updated.

Lloyd Johnson - Stewardship Liaison  Lloyd is a cradle Episcopalian, baptized and confirmed at St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church in Boston, MA.  A former prosecutor, Lloyd and Connie have been married 26 years and have three adult children and one granddaughter.  Lloyd completed his undergraduate education at Howard University and holds graduate degrees form Adelphi University (M.S.S.) and Georgetown University (J.D.)  Lloyd and Connie relocated to this area in 2005 from Maryland where Lloyd served as junior warden, member of the Rector’s Search Committee and the Search Committee for the VII Bishop of Washington (Rt. Rev. John Chane).

Tina Sheredy - Christian Education

Lynn Stacy - Social Liaison  Lynn is a life-long Episcopalian.  She was baptized at the Church of the Advent in Cape May, NJ and confirmed in Knoxville, TN.  Lynn and Phil have been married for 26 years and have 5 children, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  She attended East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN and thereafter went to work for the Federal Government in Washington, DC.  Lynn worked as a Personnel Specialist with the Dept. of  Agriculture in Washington and then transferred to Georgia with the Department of Veterans Affairs where she assisted in getting the VA Outpatient Clinic established.  Lynn has been active in the ECW and Altar Guild and currently assists with secretarial duties one day each week at the church.
